CPR/First Aid for Babysitters (Youth)
CPR/First Aid for Babysitters, is a specialized class for experienced teen babysitters who would like to increase or refresh their current safety skills.
Utilizing American Heart Association's Childcare Providers (Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED) curricula, instruction will be tailored to likely babysitter scenarios and strengthen teen babysitter confidence to respond quickly and appropriately to an emergency.
The course will cover the lifesaving skills of how to prevent, respond to and get help and administer care in a variety of emergencies, including child CPR, child AED use, infant CPR and relief of choking in a child and infant, indoor/outdoor safety, playground safety, water safety, bandaging, Epi-Pen use and more. Thorough coverage of preventing emergencies and common safety dilemmas while babysitting will also take place. Participants receive student workbook and upon successful completion, 2-year CPR/First Aid certification.
Fully stocked first aid kit, including key chain CPR mask included.
Snacks provided, please bring NUT-FREE lunch/dinner and water bottle.
