The purpose of Pediatric First Aid and CPR AEDtraining program is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. This will prepare you for caring for a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive to take over. This course combines CPR instruction for adults, children, and infants with first aid training focused on medical emergencies involving infants and children. Appropriate for Childcare Providers.
Instruction is delivered in an instructor-led format with hands-on skills practice. Instructors observe performance, provide coaching, and guide skill development to support practical competence in CPR, AED use, and pediatric first aid.
HSI Pediatric First Aid and CPR AED training program provides an ideal training solution for schools, child care providers, youth sports coaches and others required to learn how to respond to medical emergencies involving children and infants. This versatile program is based upon the 2025 CPR and First Aid Guidelines, Caring for Our Children, and other evidence-based treatment recommendations.
COURSE LENGTH: Course is scheduled for 6 hours and includes times for breaks/lunch to allow for adequate questions, discussion, review, hands-on practice and coaching.
COURSE COMPLETION CARD (2-year certification):
E-cards/E-certificates typically are emailed same-day or next day. Please allow consideration for weekends and holidays, where distribution of cards may take 1-2 business days. By request, a letter of proof of completion, can be supplied in lieu of receiving E-card.
