Safe Sitter® Babysitter Training in Portland, OR (Ages 11 to 17)

A nationally recognized 1-day workshop that teaches kids ages 11 to 17 (mature 10-year-olds welcome) how to safely care for children from infancy through school age. Fun, hands-on activities and role-playing throughout.

Students learn:

  • Choking rescue, first aid, and how to handle emergencies

  • When and how to call for help

  • Indoor, outdoor, online, and personal safety

  • Child development, diapering, and behavior management

  • Babysitting as a business: screening jobs, setting fees, and greeting employers

Length: 1 day, 8 hours. Students must attend the full session to earn their completion card.
Includes: Safe Sitter workbook, completion card, and snacks. Please bring a NUT-FREE lunch and a water bottle.
Cost: Sliding scale starting at $135 (suggested $200). All tiers get the same course experience.
